The Voralpenhof

The Gasthaus Voralpenhof of Petra and Josef Hofegger together with their team stands for culinary enjoyment in the “core of the Dirndltal” – in Frankenfels in the Pielachtal. Real Lower Austrian tavern culture! We offer a spacious banquet hall for your celebration, home-style cooking and also rent guest rooms with a total of 18 beds for your stay in Frankenfels.

Experience comfort and recharge your batteries. You will get to know our rustic coziness best in the guest room. In the “Stüberl” or in the hall (at parties and events) your palate will be delighted while enjoying the “home cooking” cuisine. Our guests rave about the idyllic ride on the Mariazellerbahn.

We take care of you! The Voralpenhof team consists of “the hosts” Petra & Josef Hofegger and our dedicated staff: René Hofegger, Birgit Sieder, Martina Zöchling, Lisa Gruber, Sabine Schagerl, Christiane Schwaiger and Heidi Wurzenberger.

Our history

1812
Mentioned for the first time in a document
The old mill became a sawmill.
1973
Demolition of the building
The now obsolete (and partially burned) building was demolished and rebuilt.
1975
Opening Voralpenhof
In 1975 the couple Johann and Anna Winter opened the Voralpenhof. The two ran the inn with full commitment.
1993
Handover
The Voralpenhof was ceremoniously handed over to Petra and Josef Hofegger.
1994
Conversion
A major rebuild followed a year after the handover. The guests should be even more comfortable…
1996
Lower Austrian Inn Culture
Since 1996 we are a member of the NÖ Wirtshauskultur. We stand for regional cuisine and typical Lower Austrian hospitality!
2012
Dirndlkirtag Frankenfels
The Dirndlkirtag in Frankenfels has been a “regional mega event”. Also in the Voralpenhof we should be pleased about many visitors and lively activity.

Stüberl and hall

Eat, drink, celebrate and more at Voralpenhof! You can enjoy rustic coziness in our guest room as well as in the Stüberl. For larger celebrations our spacious (and seminar suitable) hall is available.

We look forward to your request for: Family celebrations, birthday parties, weddings, baptism, first communion or confirmation and other anniversaries. Of course we also welcome tour groups! Beamer and flipchart are available for seminars.

We are looking forward to your inquiry! Together we can then clarify all the details for your celebration or event. We will also gladly take care of suitable decoration.
